Directions
The Tallman Hotel is located just off of Highway 20 in the country town of Upper Lake between Blue Lakes and Clear Lake. If you're flying into the area, the easiest drive is from Sacramento airport (about 2 hours) but Oakland and San Francisco (about 3 hours) also provide an easy drive into the County.
From Sacramento, take Interstate 5 to Williams, then one hour west on Hwy. 20 to Upper Lake. From the Bay Area, proceed on Hwy 101 5 miles past Ukiah. Then take Hwy 20 twenty minutes east to Upper Lake. (Note: Hwy 175 from Hopland to Lakeport and on to Upper Lake - often recommended by online map searches - is curvy and should be avoided by first-time visitors.)
